Location & Surroundings
Thorpeness is about a mile or two along the beach from Aldeburgh and is a charming holiday village designed by the Scottish playwright and barrister Glencairn Stuart Ogilvie a century ago. He decided to create an idyllic model seaside village, inspired by the writings of JM Barrie, author of Peter Pan. The village has a Meare (local for lake) and its several miles of shallow water can be explored in the summer time by rowing boat.

Additional Details
This magical beachside property with stunning sea views sleeps six to eight people in three bedrooms. This is the ultimate chill-out holiday retreat, just a couple of miles up the coast from Aldeburgh at Thorpeness.
Once a fisherman's dwelling, this chic single storey beach cottage is light and airy with dramatic sea views on three sides of the building. The open plan living space with natural fibre carpet runs down two sides of the property and has ample seating on the large corner sofa and luxurious day beds - both finished with masses of cushions.
Patio doors lead from the living room area to a generously sized grassed patio area which looks directly out to sea across the sand and shingle beach, with private steps leading onto the beach. The large outside table and chairs plus deck chairs make this an ideal vantage point to wile away the hours looking out to sea or reading magazines.
