Bedrooms & Sleeping 

Master Bedroom
Good sized bedroom with large wardrobe, chest of drawers, dressing table and chair, bedside tables and a king size bed with good quality sprung mattress and quality bed linen. Oak floor. Bedside lamps and halogen celling lights on dimmers. Sliding patio doors open onto the verandah.

Twin bedroom
Two 3' single beds, large wardrobe, bedside chest of drawers. Window to front. Rugs and lighting as in the master bedroom. Travel cot and highchair available if required.

Living/dining area
Light filled living/dining room with sliding double glazed patio doors leading on to the verandah and garden. Two comfortable sofas, cushions and throws, armchair, dining suite, coffee table, flat screen TV with Freeview/DVD player. Contemporary fire, oak flooring, halogen lighting on dimmers. Books, games and DVD's provided. Stylish contemporary design and decor throughout.

Kitchen
Well equipped high gloss kitchen with fully integrated appliances. Eye level oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge. Base and wall units. Double glazed door leading on to verandah.

Bathroom and Utility
The bathroom has a double ended bath with shower over, WC and wall mounted basin. Chrome heated radiator/towel rail. Fully tiled, halogen lights, extractor and window to front. Useful utility room off hallway with plenty of room for coats and boots. Washing machine in separate airing cupboard. Gas central heating and double glazing throughout.

Verandah
The south facing back garden can be enjoyed from the covered verandah. With a clear roof this runs the entire width of the house and is furnished with an all-weather rattan sofa, armchairs and coffee table. A flower bed runs along the edge of the verandah, which is a superb spot to relax and enjoy the garden, come showers or sun.

Gardens
The front garden has wooden sleepers giving onto gravel and a selection of sun loving plants. The south facing rear garden boasts a small patio with wooden dining table and chairs under a pergola. The lawn is flanked by a path and a flower border.

Garage and driveway
The private driveway means parking is guaranteed and offers easy access for unloading. The garage is only suitable for tiny cars but offers ideal secure storage for motorbikes, bicycles, surfboards, fishing equipment and general beach paraphernalia.

Location & Surroundings 

Thistleboon
Thistleboon is situated in an exceptionally quiet cul-de-sac. The back garden is south facing and not overlooked. There is private parking on the driveway alongside the Mediterranean style gravel garden and a secure garage for storing motorbikes, bicycles, surfboards, fishing equipment and so on. Take the footpath at the end of the cul-de-sac and within minutes you are enjoying truly stunning views across the bay all the way to Devon!

Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
Mumbles Head was designated the first ever Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Thistleboon is on the very edge of this beautiful area. Stroll up the road and you join the National Footpath network leading you to the panoramic sea views and walks to Caswell or Langland Bays. Walk down Plunch Lane to Bracelet Bay which is guarded by the lighthouse and Fortes Cafe and the very popular Castellemare for drinks, pizza and pasta.

Mumbles
Within 10 - 15 minutes walk you are in the village with all the amenities it has to offer. Delicatessens, boutique shops, galleries and a fantastic choice of restaurants, wine bars and cafes as well as the necessities such as banks, supermarkets, post office, fishmonger and greengrocers.

Gower
Thistleboon is a fantastic base for exploring not only Mumbles and Mumbles Head but also the whole of the Gower Peninsular. The bus stops at the end of the road if you fancy a tour by bus or take off in the car and take in the award winning beaches at Oxwich, Three Cliffs and Rhossilli.

Swansea
Swansea is the nearest city and attractions include the Leisure Centre (great slides, surf pool & climbing wall), the National Maritime Museum & the Grand Theatre. it is an easy 15-20 minute drive from Thistleboon for those visiting Swansea University, Singleton Hospital or Taliesin Art Centre.

Directions & Getting Here 

Arriving By Car: Junction 42 from the M4, follow bay road through Swansea and into Mumbles. Thistleboon is on the lighthouse side of the village.

Arriving By Train: Nearest station Swansea approx 5 miles from Mumbles.

Arriving By Bus/Coach: National Coach station, The Quadrant, Swansea

Nearest Airport: Cardiff airport - approx. 1 hour away or Bristol airport approx 2 hours away. Also small airport in Swansea.
