We, that is me, my friend and our respective children (3 each) have been visiting Brean for 30 yrs. At that time there was no road, no fun fair, very few pubs and clubs. We watched many of them arise year on year.

The beachcomber was a little country pub with just two rooms. The larger of which only opened at week ends out of season.

We stayed on Warren Farm, which was a far cry from what it is now. Later, as the kids grew we rented a bungalow which is now a row of shops and a night club. After that we rented a bungalow called Feilding which was rebuilt around itself.

We are both nearer 70 now and we still come to Brean twice a year. We stay on Northam Farm in my son's tourer which is big enough for us two old fogies now.

We have seen many changes, and had some really happy times in Brean, visiting Harvest Home and the Webbington not to mention the long term friends we made.

We will be back again in April 2007 no doubt. But we dont "Pub Crawl" like we used to a cup of tea and the telly suits us.

We visit brean regularly as there is plenty to do. nightlife caters for all tastes, with many free entertainment venues featuring both kids and adult entertainment. the seagull is a must for families. this has an adults only area as well as a family area. the seagull also has a very nice restaurant serving good food. the same applies to the beachcomber.

Some of the local bars are open all year round, which is handy if you fancy a winter break. weston and burnham are just a few miles away.

Brean also has a leisure centre, fair, swimming pools, restaurant/bars, amusements, bowling, golf, fishing, karaoke bars and late drinking is available if required at some venues.

The beaches are clean with pony rides, food, bouncy castles etc provided for a fee, keeping little ones happy.

My family have been coming to brean for 7 years,we first started at pontins which was ok.

Then we visited unity which was lovely and friendly with the bingo(for the in laws!), ten pin bowling, swimming, entertainment etc and not to forget the market and car boot sales. But last year my mum has bought a static at happy days caravan park and was made most welcome by pete and shirley the owners but unfortunatly they sold the business and moved.

But now we are going to try camping at brean for a change. For a nice evening out you must try the seagull the food is wonderful and they havelots of entertainment on offer especially for the kids. Make sure you get there early. Hope you all enjoy brean!
