The Sunday Times has described Polzeath as the thumping heart of cool Cornwall, and a haven for busy city people, who cannot help but relax and unwind as soon as they arrive, mainly due to the laid back atmosphere, and relaxing air and openness.
Nearby is the windsurfing beach of Daymer Bay also described in the Sunday Times as one of the six best beaches in the world.
Polzeath Beach at low tide is one stretches mile, and the whole area is a magical and most beautiful place.

There is so much to do a week is not enough.
The wildlife is in abundance on the cliffs which form part of the North Cornish Coastal Path and the Rumps where you can see seals playing.
The Rumps is the site of an Celtic cliff castle and one can view the hut circles. Definitely a spot very special along the N. Cornish Coast, a wild and quiet and peaceful place.
Walk in the other direction and you will come to Daymer Bay where you can windsurf.
Polzeath itself is ideal for families as it is lifeguard controlled during Summer and gently shelving into the Atlantic, cafes and hire gear are available, and the rockpools are full of wildlife and Polzeath is designated a Marine Conservation area.
Ideal for any sort of holiday or short break for a few days surfing.
There are loads of good quality public houses and eateries!

Polzeath is a wonderful place for young couples seeking either a getaway from city type life, or seeking a wilder sort of fun in the waves found on the beach.
There are fine hotels, the seascape, and cornish cottage being our favourites.
There are a variety of pubs, cafes, restauraunts and take aways, surf shops and basic local ameneties, and an excellent ice cream parlour!
